- 1 recipe pizza dough
- ¼ cup pizza sauce
- 1½ cups shredded cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni, (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the pizza dough according to your recipe instructions. Optionally, let it rise for 30-60 minutes for fluffier buns and easier rolling.
- Take a small piece of dough and roll it into a flat circle; thicker dough results in puffier buns. Aim for about 10 rounds of 3-4 inches each from the dough.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the rolled-out dough, reaching the edges.
- Add shredded cheese and pepperoni if desired on top.
- Preheat the oven to 425℉.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the buns are lightly golden. Allow them to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For fluffier buns, allow the dough to rise before molding it into rounds.
Feel free to customize the fillings by adding your favorite toppings like vegetables or different meats.
These buns are great for meal prep and can be frozen for later enjoyment.
