Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lb pork tenderloin
- 1 oz packet McCormick Au Jus Gravy Mix dry
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 16 oz jar mild giardiniera drained
- ½ cup unsalted butter sliced into pats
Instructions
- Place the pork tenderloin in the bottom of a 6-quart Crockpot.
- Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix, granulated garlic, and Italian seasoning evenly over the pork.
- Top with the drained giardiniera and sliced pats of butter.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours until the pork is fork-tender.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the Crockpot, stir to combine with the juices and peppers, and let heat for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve on toasted hoagie rolls for a classic Chicago-style sandwich, or enjoy it over mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the pork overnight with the spices before cooking.
Serve with additional giardiniera on the side for a spicy kick.
This pulled pork can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
