- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 4 cups sweet corn, fresh, frozen, or canned (drained)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black ground pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¾ cup corn flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and milk until well combined.
- Stir in the melted butter, sugar, corn, ¾ cup of cheese, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and top with corn flakes and the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use half-and-half instead of whole milk.
Feel free to add diced bell peppers or other vegetables for added flavor.
This dish can be made ahead and frozen, just thaw and reheat before serving.
