- ⅓ cup hoisin sauce
- 3–4 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1–2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- red pepper flakes (optional)
- salt and pepper (optional)
- 20 ounces turkey meatballs
- 1 green onion (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, ground ginger, onion powder, garlic powder, and optional salt and pepper. Heat on medium or medium-high, stirring to mix.
- Introduce the meatballs into the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the meatballs are heated through. Taste the sauce and adjust flavors as desired with more hoisin, soy, or spices.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving. For events, transfer to a slow cooker on low to keep warm.
Notes
Use pre-cooked meatballs for a quicker meal.
Adjust spice levels to your liking by adding more red pepper flakes.
Feel free to substitute turkey meatballs with your choice of meat.
