Instructions
- Allow the filet mignon steaks to reach room temperature by resting them outside the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).
- Generously season both sides of each steak with salt and pepper. If desired, add your favorite steak seasoning for additional flavor.
- Place a wire rack atop a baking sheet and arrange the seasoned steaks on the rack for optimal cooking and air flow.
- Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest section of one steak without touching any bone or fat.
