- 1 – 2 tablespoons olive oil

- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Optional:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- Lemon medallions
- Fresh herbs, parsley, dill, or thyme
Instructions
- Pat the salmon completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
- Season the fillets with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Place the salmon filets skin-side down in the skillet.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway up the sides.
- Flip the salmon carefully using a spatula and cook for another 3-4 minutes until done to your liking.
- Optional: Add butter, garlic, and lemon medallions in the last few minutes of cooking, basting the salmon for added flavor.
