Ingredients

- 2 cups whole milk divided
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Whisk together cornstarch with ¼ cup of the milk in a small bowl until smooth.
- Combine remaining milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until warm but not boiling.
- Slowly whisk in the cornstarch mixture to the warm milk.
- Cook the mixture while stirring constantly until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 5–7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into serving dishes and serve warm or chilled. Top with whipped cream or berries, if desired.
Notes
Make sure to stir constantly while cooking to prevent lumps.
The pudding can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
For extra sweetness, feel free to adjust the sugar according to your taste.
