Ingredients
Scale
- 4 6-oz salmon fillets
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup wholesome yum zero sugar maple syrup
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder.
- Add the salmon to the bowl and turn to coat in the glaze. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for at least 10 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to the Broil setting (about 500 degrees F or 260 degrees C) toward the end of the marinating time. Coat the salmon again with the marinade before broiling.
- Place the salmon in a baking dish, making sure to space the fillets apart. Brush any leftover glaze over the top of the fish.
- Broil the maple glazed salmon about 6 inches from the heating element for 5-7 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 135-140 degrees F (57-60 degrees C) and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
You can adjust the marinating time to suit your schedule, marinating up to an hour for enhanced flavor.
Ensure that the salmon is placed evenly in the baking dish for even cooking.
