  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 4 cups (32 ounces) beef broth
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 bag (20 ounces) fresh cheese tortellini, refrigerated
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup (113 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup (50 g) romano cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, shredded
  • Grated parmesan, for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until meat is browned.
  • Add marinara sauce, beef broth, and crushed tomatoes. Stir and simmer.
  • Incorporate fresh tortellini and cook until tender.
  • Lower heat and stir in heavy cream and cheeses until melted.
  • Serve warm, garnished with parmesan and parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté spinach or kale with the onions.
Use homemade marinara for a fresher taste.
Adjust thickness by adding more broth or cooking longer.
