Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons grand marnier (orange liqueur)
- 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 2 1/2 teaspoons)
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup framboise (raspberry liqueur)
- fresh raspberries (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture and stir until completely dissolved.
- Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier.
- Pour the mixture into serving cups or ramekins and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Meanwhile, prepare the raspberry sauce: in a food processor, blend fresh raspberries with framboise until smooth.
- Strain the sauce through a fine sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
- Serve the panna cotta topped with raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, you can experiment with different liqueurs in place of Grand Marnier.
Make sure to chill the panna cotta for at least 4 hours to achieve the perfect set.
