Ingredients

- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 thinly sliced green onion
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine all marinade ingredients and whisk together until well mixed.
- Transfer chicken pieces to a resealable plastic bag or an airtight container.
- Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag tightly, and shake to mix. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours.
- In a small pot, pour in the remaining marinade and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly reduced. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Once marinated, thread 7 to 8 pieces of chicken onto each skewer until all chicken is used.
- Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray. Arrange the skewers in the basket, leaving 1/2 inch of space between each. Brush each skewer with prepared glaze.
- Set the air fryer to 400˚F and cook the chicken skewers for 8 minutes. Flip skewers, brush with more glaze, and air-fry for an additional 6 to 8 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove the skewers from the air fryer and brush with glaze one last time.
- Transfer the skewers to a serving dish, sprinkle sliced green onion on top, and serve warm.
Notes
Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor development.
Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste preference for more or less pungency.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or onions to the skewers for extra flavor and nutrition.
