- 1 cup cottage cheese or 1 cup greek yogurt 2% to 5% fat
- 2 to 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup honey, or sweetener of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 to 2 tablespoons milk to thin if needed
- ½ scoop chocolate protein powder for extra protein
- fresh berries
- shaved chocolate
- dollop of yogurt or whipped cream
Instructions
- In a high-speed blender, combine 1 cup cottage cheese (or Greek yogurt), 2 to 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, your choice of sweetener (1 to 2 tablespoons), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend the mixture for 30 to 60 seconds, or until it reaches a smooth, mousse-like texture. If necessary, scrape down the sides and blend again.
- Taste the mousse and modify sweetness or cocoa levels based on your preference. If you prefer a thinner mousse, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk.
Notes
For an extra protein boost, include ½ scoop of chocolate protein powder in the blend.
Top the mousse with fresh berries, shaved chocolate, or a dollop of yogurt or whipped cream for an added treat.
This mousse can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
