- 2 large burrito-sized flour tortillas
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
- 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground preferred
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 12 slices colby jack cheese thinly sliced
- 12 slices deli ham thinly sliced
- fresh parsley for garnish optional
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whip the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the black pepper and dried oregano, and whip again until well combined.
- Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface and spread one-third of the cream cheese mixture evenly over it, reaching the edges.
- Place slices of ham evenly over the cream cheese, then add the colby jack cheese slices on top.
- Starting from one end, roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Refrigerate the wrapped logs for at least 30 minutes before slicing them.
- When ready to serve, unwrap the logs and slice them into 1-inch wheels using a sharp serrated knife. Arrange the cut pieces on a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy spreading.
These roll ups can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Feel free to customize by adding other ingredients like bell peppers or olives.
