- juice of 1 small lemon add zest to make it extra lemony

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
Instructions
- Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness and remove excess fat.
- In a bowl or ziptop bag, mix yogurt, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt, paprika, and cumin.
- Add chicken and ensure it is well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours.
- Before cooking, let the chicken sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- For grilling, cook over high heat until charred and internal temperature reaches 160°F to 165°F, about 8 to 12 minutes for breasts or thighs.
- For baking, arrange chicken in a lined dish and bake at 425°F until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F to 165°F.
- For air frying, preheat the air fryer to 375°F and cook in a single layer for 10 to 14 minutes, flipping halfway.
Notes
For more flavor, let the chicken marinate for the full 24 hours.
Using chicken thighs can provide extra juiciness compared to breasts.
Always check the internal temperature to ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly.
