  • Total Time: 28 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-oz) tilapia fillets
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon ground paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 lemon
  • lemon slices, red pepper flakes, chopped parsley (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pat the tilapia dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano on both sides.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in minced garlic, ½ teaspoon grated lemon zest, and all the lemon juice.
  4. Lay the seasoned fish in the baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over it.
  5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish, until it flakes easily and appears opaque.
