  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup 2% milk, whole milk, half-and-half, or heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed very dry
  • 4 ounces diced ham (about ¾ cup) (or sub with ¾ cup cooked and crumbled bacon)
  • ½ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese (or crumbled feta cheese)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch pie plate or quiche dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. Layer the spinach, ham, and cheese in the bottom of the prepared dish evenly.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the layered fillings in the dish, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes until the egg mixture is fully set, checking with a knife inserted in the center to ensure it comes out clean.
  6. Allow the quiche to rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing into wedges to serve.

Notes

You can substitute ham with crumbled bacon for a savory twist.
For a vegetarian option, omit the meat and add sautéed vegetables.
Feel free to use any cheese you prefer, such as mozzarella or goat cheese.
