Ingredients

- ½ cup butter
- 20 ounces mini marshmallows
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 9 ounces Rice Krispies cereal
- ½ cup each colored candy melts (white, pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (if needed)
- Edible pen (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons butter (for hands/cookie cutter, if needed)
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-low heat.
- Stir in mini marshmallows until melted.
- Add salt and vanilla extract, then mix in half of the Rice Krispies.
- Fold in the remaining marshmallows and Rice Krispies.
- Pour mixture into the prepared pan and press down evenly.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then cut into heart shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Melt candy melts in separate bowls, and decorate the hearts.
- Write sweet messages with an edible pen once the coating sets.
Notes
Use low heat to prevent burning the marshmallows.
Experiment with candy melt colors for fun variations.
Apply non-stick spray on hands and utensils to reduce stickiness.
