Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup half and half
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup dry yellow cake mix unprepared
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and spread the cake batter on a baking sheet to heat treat it for 5-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the half & half and granulated sugar, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Then, add the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
- Sift or stir the dry cake mix to eliminate lumps, then mix it into the cream mixture until smooth.
- Cool the ice cream base thoroughly before pouring it into the ice cream maker. Process it as per the manufacturer's instructions.
- Once processed, transfer the ice cream to a container, seal it, and freeze for several hours until it reaches a firmer consistency.
Notes
Ensure the ice cream base is completely cool before using the ice cream maker.
For the best texture, let the ice cream freeze for at least 4 hours after processing before serving.
Feel free to add sprinkles or other mix-ins before freezing for added fun!
