Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the coconut oil and honey. Heat over medium-low until melted and the mixture begins to simmer.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Sift in the cocoa powder and stir until smooth, ensuring it’s combined. If clumpy, add more coconut oil and stir until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag or resealable plastic bag with a corner snipped off. Pipe small dots onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Refrigerate the chips until fully set, about 20 minutes.
- Use a bench scraper to lift the chips off the paper, and store them in the freezer or refrigerator.
Notes
You can replace honey with maple syrup for a vegan option.
For best results, use high-quality cocoa powder for richer flavor.
