Ingredients

- 1 small avocado (100g flesh)
- 1 1/2 cups milk of choice (360g)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (10g)
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice (45g)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (5g)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp almond butter (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the avocado and discard the shell and pit.
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until thick and completely smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into one large glass or two smaller glasses, or into a bowl for a smoothie bowl.
- Garnish if desired with mini chocolate chips, chia seeds, fresh mint leaves, or fun paper straws. Enjoy cold.
Notes
Use ripe avocados for a creamier texture.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to taste.
For extra protein, consider adding a scoop of protein powder.
