Ingredients
Scale
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 2/3 cup Chedz (any flavor)
- 1/4 to 1/2 onion, chopped to taste
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Crumble Chedz into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and ground black pepper. Add Chedz crumbs and stir until combined.
- Mix in the ground beef and chopped onion, and transfer to a 9×5 loaf pan, mini bread loaf pan, or slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, ground mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, and spread over the meat mixture.
- For a 9×5 loaf pan, bake for 1 to 1 1/4 hours until the center reaches 160°F (70°C) on a thermometer. For mini loaves or cupcake pans, bake for about 35 minutes. For a slow cooker, cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the onion amount according to your taste preference.
For a lower-sugar option, omit the brown sugar.
You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey for a healthier option.
