- 16 ounces farfalle pasta
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups milk
- ½ teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
- 2 cups colby cheese shredded
- 2 cups cooked ham cubed
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish with non-stick spray.
- Boil a large pot of lightly salted water and cook the pasta for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper, cooking until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the milk, bringing the mixture to a boil for 1 minute.
- Add the yellow mustard and Colby cheese, stirring until melted and well combined.
- Remove from heat and mix in the cubed ham and cooked pasta. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Feel free to substitute the ham with leftover turkey or chicken for a different flavor.
For added vegetables, consider mixing in peas or broccoli before baking.
