These Cadbury Egg Chocolate Chip Cookies are an irresistible treat, featuring a delightful mix of Cadbury eggs and chocolate chips. Quick to prepare and perfect for those craving a homemade dessert, these cookies are sure to delight everyone!

  • Total Time: 1 hour 1 minutes
  • Yield: 36 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (227 g) salted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup (159 g) packed light brown sugar
  • ¾ cup (159 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (426 g) all-purpose flour
  • 9-ounce bag (255 g) cadbury eggs, lightly crushed
  • 1 cup (170 g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until light and fluffy, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour until there are a few dry streaks left in the mixture.
  5. Fold in the Cadbury eggs and chocolate chips, stirring until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough and shape into balls, placing them several inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Optionally, top each cookie dough ball with additional crushed Cadbury eggs.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, adjusting for your desired cookie texture (see notes for tips on flattening or puffiness).
  9. Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheets for 3-4 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chilling the dough before baking can help prevent cookies from spreading too much.
For a more decadent cookie, add extra chocolate chips or crushed Cadbury eggs on top before baking.
