- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup onion chopped
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 8 ounces tomato sauce (1 can)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups dry macaroni noodles
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese shredded
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef and onions. Brown them, then drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the paprika, onion powder, tomato sauce, tomato paste, milk, and beef broth. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
- Incorporate the dry noodles, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the noodles are tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheese, cover again, and let it melt. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
