Baked Ravioli

Treat your taste buds with this Baked Ravioli featuring a rich beef sauce, creamy marinara, and topped with gooey mozzarella cheese. Perfect for a quick dinner or a comforting meal!

  • Total Time: 1 hour 45 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 6-8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (extra lean)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce (1 jar)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 pound frozen ravioli (beef or cheese)
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and italian seasoning. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
  3. Combine marinara sauce and heavy cream with the beef mixture and let it simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it with olive oil.
  5. Layer the bottom of the baking dish with a portion of the creamy beef sauce, then arrange a layer of frozen ravioli on top. Sprinkle a third of the mozzarella cheese over this layer. Repeat the layers, finishing with sauce and cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Once baked, let the dish rest for a few minutes, then sprinkle freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey for a leaner option.
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the layers for extra flavor and nutrition.
For a richer taste, try adding some grated Parmesan to the cheese layers.
