Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 large sweet potatoes thinly sliced
- ¼ cup avocado oil or favorite oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
- Wash the sweet potatoes and brush off any dirt from the skin.
- Using a mandoline slicer, slice the potatoes into 1/8” thin pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced sweet potatoes with avocado oil to ensure each slice is coated.
- Sprinkle salt over the potatoes and toss again to coat thoroughly.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook the slices at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
- Flip the chips, then cook for an additional 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Keep an eye on the chips to prevent burning; some may need only an extra minute or two.
- Once done, sprinkle with more salt if desired.
Notes
For best results, cut the sweet potatoes as evenly as possible to ensure even cooking.
You can experiment with different seasonings to change up the flavor of the chips.
Make sure the sweet potato slices are not overlapping in the air fryer for maximum crispiness.
