- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 tsp cajun spice mix
- 2 tsp light brown sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 ripe avocado diced
- 1 orange skin sliced off and chopped into chunks
- ½ of a small red onion peeled and finely chopped
- 20 g (1/2 packed cup) coriander (cilantro) leaves, finely chopped (stalks discarded)
- 1 jalapeno pepper , thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- zest of one lime
- 1 tbsp honey
- pinch of salt and pepper
- steamed/boiled rice
- Chopped cucumber
- Sesame seeds
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, using a liner for easy cleanup.
- Sprinkle the Cajun spice, brown sugar, salt, and pepper over the salmon, then drizzle or spray with oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes at 200C/400F until the salmon is cooked through, adjusting time based on the thickness of the fillets.
Notes
For a milder option, substitute the jalapeno with your favorite fresh chili pepper.
Use fresh cilantro for the best flavor in the salsa.
