- 12 ounces cooked chicken breast, rotisserie or plain, shredded
- 1/2 lime, juice from
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 4-ounce can mild diced green chilies, drained
- 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
- 12 6-inch flour tortillas
- Olive oil spray
- top off your chicken flautas with pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded lettuce, mexican crema or sour cream fresh cilantro, and more
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, and drained chilies. Mix well and then add the shredded cheese.
- On a clean work surface, place one tortilla and add about 1/3 cup of the filling to the bottom third. Roll the tortilla up from the bottom to encase the filling and place seam side down on the prepared sheet pan. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil. Place the flautas seam side down in a single layer in the basket, working in batches. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil and cook at 400˚F for 8-9 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
- Serve by placing 2 flautas on a plate and topping with pico de gallo, sour cream, shredded lettuce, fresh cilantro, and additional toppings as desired.
Notes
You can use leftover chicken or a store-bought rotisserie chicken for convenience.
For extra flavor, consider adding spices like chili powder or paprika to the filling.
