- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
Instructions

- Melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth, using either the microwave in 30-second intervals or on the stove over low heat.
- Whisk in the granulated sugar until the mixture becomes glossy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined after each addition.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, until the edges are set and the center looks fudgy.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
For gooier brownies, add sugar after the eggs; for denser brownies, add sugar before the eggs.
Consider adding 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder for darker brownies or folding in 1/2 cup flour for chewier brownies.
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
