- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 6–8 fresh plums (any variety: black, red, or golden), pitted and sliced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Stir in Greek yogurt until blended.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients without over-mixing.
- Slice and sweeten plums with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Layer half of the batter in a greased cake pan, add half the plums, top with remaining batter and plums.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45-50 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.
Try different types of plums or seasonal fruits for variety.
