  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ small white or yellow onion, finely grated
  • 1 pound ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine egg, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the grated onion and mix until it forms a paste.
  • Gently fold in ground turkey, mix until combined but do not overmix.
  • Scoop uniform portions and roll them into balls.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add meatballs without moving them for 3-5 minutes.
  • Brown all sides, then add marinara sauce, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • For baking, transfer browned meatballs to a preheated oven at 350°F for 15-25 minutes.
  • For air frying, place in an air fryer at 350°F for 9-13 minutes.

Notes

Add fresh herbs like parsley or basil for enhanced flavor.
Ensure meatballs are uniform in size for even cooking.
Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
