- 5 medium tomatoes (approximately 2 pounds), peeled, halved, cored, and seeded

- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- ½ whole baguette, cut into ¾-inch cubes (about 4 cups)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare a 9×13-inch Pyrex casserole dish with nonstick spray.
- In a food processor, puree the tomatoes with salt, sugar, and pepper.
- In the prepared dish, toss bread cubes with melted butter.
- Pour the tomato mixture over the bread and combine thoroughly.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use ripe, in-season tomatoes for the best flavor.
