  • 1/4 cup (55 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 48 Ritz crackers
  • 1 cup (224 g) salted butter
  • 1 cup (220 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups (500 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup (84 g) whole pecans
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted for drizzling

Instructions

  • Cook the diced apples with sugar and spices over medium-low heat until tender.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the streusel by mixing flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  • Bake streusel for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Prepare the toffee by layering Ritz crackers on a baking sheet.
  • Simmer butter, brown sugar, and vanilla, then pour over the crackers and bake for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee and return to the oven for another 3 minutes.
  • Spread melted chocolate, then add spiced apples, streusel, and pecans.
  • Chill for 30 minutes, drizzle melted chocolate on top, and let it set before cutting.
