- 1/4 cup (31 g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1/4 cup (55 g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 48 Ritz crackers
- 1 cup (224 g) salted butter
- 1 cup (220 g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups (500 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup (84 g) whole pecans
- 1/4 cup (50 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted for drizzling
Instructions
- Cook the diced apples with sugar and spices over medium-low heat until tender.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the streusel by mixing flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Bake streusel for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the toffee by layering Ritz crackers on a baking sheet.
- Simmer butter, brown sugar, and vanilla, then pour over the crackers and bake for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over toffee and return to the oven for another 3 minutes.
- Spread melted chocolate, then add spiced apples, streusel, and pecans.
- Chill for 30 minutes, drizzle melted chocolate on top, and let it set before cutting.
Notes
Finely dice apples for even blending with other ingredients.
Monitor the streusel closely while baking to avoid burning.
