  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves, toasted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Toast the pecans on a baking sheet for 8-10 minutes and let cool.
  • Melt the dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  • Whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  • Brush the inside of the crust with beaten egg white, layer in half of the pecans, pour in the chocolate filling, and top with remaining pecans.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
