- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 6–8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20–25 pepperoni slices (beef or turkey)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll pizza dough into a 12-inch circle and transfer to prepared pan.
- Place mozzarella string cheese sticks around the edge and fold the dough over to seal.
- Spread pizza sauce in the center, leaving the crust uncovered.
- Layer with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
- Brush with olive oil or melted butter and add optional seasonings.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Using room temperature dough makes shaping easier.
Different cheeses can enhance flavor; try provolone or cheddar.
