- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (or more to taste)
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1.5 cups baby bella mushrooms, thinly sliced (about 5 mushrooms)
- 2 tsp arrowroot starch
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley (for serving)
Instructions
- Form the ground beef into four patties without overworking the meat.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, season patties, and sear until browned on both sides.
- Add ghee to the skillet, then cook sliced onions until tender.
- Season the onions, then add sliced mushrooms and cook briefly.
- Stir in arrowroot starch, then add beef broth, coconut aminos, mustard, and vinegar; simmer until thickened.
- Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Fresh ingredients enhance flavor significantly.
Avoid overworking the meat for tender patties.
Adjust Cajun seasoning based on heat preference.
