Ingredients

  • 6 black tea bags (regular size)
  • 8 cups water, divided in half
  • 1 (15 oz) can peach slices, pureed
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  • Heat 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and let tea cool to room temperature.
  • In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar over medium heat to make simple syrup.
  • Add cooled tea to a pitcher and mix in the simple syrup.
  • Stir in the pureed peaches.
  • Add remaining 4 cups of cool water and mix well.
  • Serve over ice, garnished with peach slices or mint.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
Store leftover tea in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Adjust sweetness with more or less syrup to taste.
