Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb uncooked sausage
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1 3/4 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine uncooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel until smooth.
- Stir in Bisquick baking mix and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Optional: Top with extra shredded cheese and return to the oven until melted.
Notes
Drain the Rotel thoroughly to avoid a soggy mixture.
For added heat, use hot sausage or a spicier version of Rotel.
Keep sausage balls warm in a slow cooker if serving at gatherings.
