Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed Christmas Oreos
  • 9 whole Christmas Oreos for layering
  • ¼ cup Christmas M&M’s

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Mix in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  • Fold in mini chocolate chips, M&M’s, and crushed Oreos, reserving some for decoration.
  • Press ⅓ of the dough into the bottom of the pan and layer with whole Oreos.
  • Spread the remaining dough over the Oreos and sprinkle reserved toppings.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden, then cool and slice.

Notes

Use softened butter for a better creaming process.
Avoid overbaking to keep the bars chewy.
Allow the bars to cool before slicing to get clean edges.
