- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed Christmas Oreos
- 9 whole Christmas Oreos for layering
- ¼ cup Christmas M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Mix in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
- Fold in mini chocolate chips, M&M’s, and crushed Oreos, reserving some for decoration.
- Press ⅓ of the dough into the bottom of the pan and layer with whole Oreos.
- Spread the remaining dough over the Oreos and sprinkle reserved toppings.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden, then cool and slice.
Notes
Use softened butter for a better creaming process.
Avoid overbaking to keep the bars chewy.
Allow the bars to cool before slicing to get clean edges.
