Instructions
- Whisk flour and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water gradually until dough forms.
- Chill dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
- Prepare pears by peeling, coring, and slicing them.
- Toss pear slices with sugar and spices.
- Roll dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
- Transfer rolled dough to parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Arrange pear slices in a circular pattern on dough.
- Dot with butter, fold edges over pears, and pleat.
- Brush dough with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Drizzle honey over warm galette before serving.
Notes
Use cold butter for a flaky crust.
Choose ripe pears for the best flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
