  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • ¾ cup sliced almonds (or more to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • Blend softened butter until creamy, then mix in sugar until fluffy.
  • Add almond extract and egg, then combine.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl, then add to wet mixture.
  • Press dough into pan and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until barely golden, then lower temperature to 350°F.
  • Melt butter for topping and mix with sugar and flour.
  • Spread raspberry jam over baked crust.
