- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Caramel sauce, for serving (optional)
- 8 cups Water
- ½ cup Baking Soda
Instructions
- Combine warm water and yeast, let sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix flour, salt, and brown sugar in another bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until dough forms.
- Knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth, then let rise for 2 hours.
- Boil water and baking soda, preheat oven to 450°F.
- Shape risen dough, cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Boil pretzel bites for 30 seconds, then transfer to sheet pans.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Coat with melted butter, then with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Notes
Ensure water for the yeast is warm, not hot, to prevent killing the yeast.
Do not skip the boiling step for the perfect pretzel texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
