Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Beat softened butter until creamy, then mix in granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Blend egg, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture.
- Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread batter in the baking dish and bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
- Cool in the dish for 20 minutes, then cut into bars.
