  • ½ yellow onion, diced (about ½ cup)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 package (9-count) King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and sliced
  • 6 slices thick-cut turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled (about 1 cup)
  • 1 cup (113 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (80 g) French’s crispy fried onions
  • 1 recipe cowboy butter (without lemon juice), melted, divided

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook beef, onion, garlic, hamburger seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt for 8-10 minutes.
  • Place bottom halves of pretzel buns in the baking dish and drizzle with cowboy butter.
  • Spread beef mixture over the buns and layer with jalapeños, turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, and fried onions.
  • Cover with top halves of buns, brush with cowboy butter, and bake for 15 minutes covered.
  • Uncover and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve hot and enjoy with extra cowboy butter.

Notes

Customize spice levels by adjusting jalapeños.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
