Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix marinara sauce, cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil.
  • Pour the filling into the skillet evenly.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and optional Parmesan on top.
  • Roll out the pizza dough into a circle larger than the skillet.
  • Cover the filling with the dough, tucking the edges down.
  • Cut small slits in the top of the dough for steam vents.
  • Brush the dough with the beaten egg.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  • Cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
