- ⅔ Cup cold water (for white layer)
- 1 Envelope (¼-Ounce, 7 Grams) unflavored gelatin (for white layer)
- 5 Tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (for white layer)
- ⅓ Cup whipped cream vodka (such as Smirnoff Whipped Cream)
- ⅔ Cup cold water (for pink layer)
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar (for pink layer)
- 1 Envelope (¼-Ounce, 7 Grams) unflavored gelatin (for pink layer)
- 1 Tablespoon sweetened condensed milk (for pink layer)
- ⅓ Cup peppermint schnapps (I used 99-proof 99 Peppermint Schnapps)
- 2 Drops red food coloring
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Pink, red, and white sprinkles (for garnish)
- Crushed candy canes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Combine cold water and gelatin for the white layer and let it bloom.
- Whisk mixture over medium heat until fully dissolved; stir in sweetened condensed milk and vodka.
- Transfer to a heatproof container and set aside.
- Repeat the process for the pink layer using cold water, sugar, gelatin, sweetened condensed milk, schnapps, and food coloring.
- Layer pink mixture into shot glasses and freeze until firm.
- Add the white layer, freeze again, and repeat until glasses are filled.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, then top with whipped cream and garnishes.
Notes
You can prepare these shots 2 days in advance.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Experiment with different flavored vodkas or schnapps for a twist.
