Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  • Add chopped onions and peppers; sauté until tender-crisp, then set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and ground sirloin with seasonings; brown the meat thoroughly.
  • Mix in beef bouillon base and tomato paste; return the vegetables to the skillet.
  • Pour in water and simmer for 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Fold in shredded provolone cheese until melted and serve on sandwich buns.
