Peanut Butter M&M Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2½ cups all-purpose-flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, (divided)
  • 1 cup m&ms

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream together the butter, peanut butter, light brown sugar, and regular sugar in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment for 3-5 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt slowly, then mix on low to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda and flour, then add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
  5. Mix on low until almost combined, then gently fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  6. Scoop 2-inch balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, placing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until lightly golden on the edges.
  8. Optionally, add extra M&Ms on top after removing from the oven, and let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.

Notes

Ensure the eggs are at room temperature for best mixing results.
For a richer flavor, use high-quality peanut butter.
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
