- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2½ cups all-purpose-flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips, (divided)
- 1 cup m&ms
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cream together the butter, peanut butter, light brown sugar, and regular sugar in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment for 3-5 minutes until fluffy.
- Add the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt slowly, then mix on low to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda and flour, then add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Mix on low until almost combined, then gently fold in the chocolate chips and M&Ms.
- Scoop 2-inch balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, placing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, until lightly golden on the edges.
- Optionally, add extra M&Ms on top after removing from the oven, and let them cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Notes
Ensure the eggs are at room temperature for best mixing results.
For a richer flavor, use high-quality peanut butter.
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
