- 6 oz. full-fat sour cream
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 7 oz. green olives, drained and sliced
- 6 oz. black olives, drained and sliced
- 8 oz. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8–10 oz. loaf of French bread
- Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix sour cream and butter in a bowl until smooth.
- Fold in olives, cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cut French bread in half lengthwise and hollow out if desired.
- Spread filling on cut sides of the bread.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Experiment with various olives for richer flavors.
Use high-quality ingredients for the best results.
Filling can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
