No Fold Blanket Dumplings

No Fold Blanket Dumplings combine savory ground pork with fresh vegetables wrapped in delicate dumpling skins. Perfect for a quick dinner or comfort food, these dumplings are sure to satisfy your cravings for homemade flavors.

Ingredients

  • 24 dumpling wrappers
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 1 pound ground pork or ground chicken or turkey
  • 4 green onions finely chopped
  • 1½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1½ tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • dumpling sauce chili crisp or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the ground pork, green onion, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, garlic, cornstarch, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Take about 1 heaping tablespoon of the filling and place it on a dumpling wrapper. Cover the filling with another wrapper, gently squeezing the sides so it adheres while leaving the bottom open.
  3. Heat a large nonstick pan over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. When hot, add the dumplings to the pan.
  4. Carefully pour the water into the skillet around the dumplings, cover, and let steam for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 145℉.
  5. Remove the cover and cook until the water evaporates and the bottoms of the dumplings are golden and crisp.
  6. Garnish with additional green onion and serve warm with your choice of dumpling sauce.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground pork with ground chicken or turkey.
Serve with chili crisp or sesame seeds for an extra kick.
